Leitz Wetzlar

Leitz Wetzlar refers to the Wetzlar home of Ernst Leitz GmbH, the town synonymous with Leica manufacture from the 19th century until camera production moved to Solms in 1988 (Leica returned to Wetzlar in 2014). Lenses of this era are often marked 'Leitz Wetzlar'. (Effectively the same firm as Leitz — consider merging.)
